Manifesto

Open money, owned by no one.

Money belongs on the internet. But the rails we built it on are still gated, opaque, and rented from a handful of operators who decide who gets to send what, to whom, when, and at what price. Credible Foundation exists to change that.

Stablecoins changed the substrate. Trillions now move on-chain. The economic case for open dollars is settled.

What remains is a coordination problem. Every fintech still re-integrates the same plumbing. Every consumer still pays a tax to closed networks. Every dollar still routes through gatekeepers who chose their position before the internet was invented.

We're building the open alternative — the protocol, the orchestration layer, the consumer interface, and the ownership token that aligns everyone in between. This manifesto is what we believe and why.

01 / Open

Open by default.

Every layer of the stack — liquidity, orchestration, application — is public, composable and free to build on. No NDAs. No approval queues. The default is yes.

02 / Neutral

Neutral by design.

No single operator runs the protocol. No single team owns the roadmap. Governance is on-chain. Treasury is on-chain. The foundation is the steward, not the owner.

03 / Owned

Owned by the network.

The people who use, build, and route liquidity through Credible should also own it. $CRED is how that ownership is denominated — not a fundraise, but a coordination instrument.

04 / Free

Free where it should be.

Sending dollars to a friend should cost zero. Sending to a merchant should cost less than a card swipe. Sending across a border should cost less than a coffee. Anything else is rent.

05 / Composable

Composable to the end.

Every primitive — transfers, payouts, FX, settlement, yield — is an open building block. Combining them is how new products get built in days instead of years.

06 / For everyone

Built for any vertical.

The businesses other gateways quietly decline — AI, web3, creator economy, prediction markets, gaming, treasury — get the same rails as everyone else. Open doesn't mean selective.

07 / Patient

Built for the long arc.

We are building infrastructure, not a campaign. We optimize for the next decade, not the next quarter. The right call is the durable one, even when the loud one is easier.

08 / Honest

Transparent reserves.

What we hold, we hold on-chain. What we earn, we report. What we change, we ratify. There is no other way for an open foundation to operate.

09 / Sovereign

Self-custody first.

Your money should be yours. Our products are interfaces, not custodians. Where the protocol holds liquidity, the protocol holds it transparently and the network governs it.

If you believe money should be open, free, and owned by the people who use it — build with us.
